SubTerranean

Termites

Avoid water accumulation near the foundation of the home. Store firewood at least 20 feet away from the home and keep mulch at least 15 inches from the foundation. Reduce humidity through proper ventilation of crawl spaces, attics and basements to avoid attracting subterranean termite swarms.

Bark and Woodchip

Dry Wood Termites

They usually live, feed and nest in undecayed wood which has a very low moisture content, Unlike subterranean termites, they do not require any contact with the soil in order to live. They can seriously damage movable wooden objects such as furniture.

Termite Protection

I highly recommend having a termite and rodent policy to protect your biggest investment. Termites may take years to show serious damage, but when the damage is noticed, it could costs thousands of dollars and spell financial trouble for you and your family.
